Frameline’s Trash Talk with John Waters
Frameline is kicking off five decades of queer cinema with Frameline’s Trash Talk with John Waters, Featuring Serial Mom — an event that both honors the beloved director and brings us all together for a damn good time.
On Tuesday, March 17 at The Castro Theatre, Frameline will honor John Waters with the Frameline Award, presented by local drag icon and artist Peaches Christ, and follow the award presentation with a screening of Waters’ black-comedy crime film Serial Mom (1994), featuring live commentary from the filmmaker himself. After the film, Frameline’s Allegra Madsen will moderate an onstage Q&A with Waters and Peaches Christ.
Trust Us: The only thing worse than wearing white after Labor Day is missing out on this chance to watch transgressive independent cinema alongside the Pope of Trash.
