Robby Hoffman

Robby Hoffman is an Emmy-winning writer, Emmy-nominated actress, and comedian.

Her debut Netflix stand-up special WAKE UP, directed by John Mulaney, will premiere globally on December 14th. She can currently be seen on Season 4 of HBO Max’s Hacks, where she earned a 2025 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest in a Comedy Series, and is now in production on Season 5. This year, she also starred opposite Michelle Williams in FX’s limited series Dying for Sex and was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch,” following the buzz from her standout set on Netflix’s Verified. Her earlier special, I’m Nervous, aired on CraveTV to critical acclaim.

Hoffman is now developing Unentitled at HBO, a new series she is writing, executive producing, and set to star in. She will also appear in a major role in Steve Carell’s upcoming HBO series. She also hosts her Patreon podcast Too Far with Robby Hoffman.

Her work has earned widespread praise. The Daily Beast called her “the future of comedy,” while The Wall Street Journal hailed her as “an original comic talent.” The New York Times compared her “bulldozing stand-up” to Larry David, dubbing her “a modern lesbian Andrew ‘Dice’ Clay,” and described her podcast Too Far as “an addictive listen.”
